Merry Christmas... I'm also back.

Posted by Farplane Dec. 23, 2007 @ 11:15 PM EST

To those of you who care I finally can make art / say that I have a computer that works after 2 months of a disfunctional system and a squad of geeks that don't know the first thing about a computer, we'll refer to them as Geeksquad, though. Anyways Merry Christmas.

Oh yeah, and Happy Hanukkah too.

And Kwanzah.

Happy Holidays.

You Know What I Hate?! (1+2)

Posted by Farplane Sep. 24, 2007 @ 11:39 PM EDT

I decided that I am going to start a sub-serious called you know what I hate. I'm not trying to reinact Peter Griffon's "You Know What Really Grinds My Gears". I'm not trying to create something that I expect people to care about. I'm not going to do this on a schedule, I'll create them as they hit me. I simply want to get this stuff off my chest and see what people have to say about it / if they can relate to it.
-----------
1. You know what I hate? When I display my art on my binder or something, and people ask, "Did you make that?". Now sure, this is both an insult and a compliment, however I take it as an insult, and how much it happens, it's become annoying. I mean seriously, what do you expect, I stole some kids unsigned art (that's obviously anime because that's all people draw nowadys >:() and put it in the front of my binder so I'd look cool? Yeah, that's really bold, you doubt someone's ability and have to get proof just so you'll believe it.

2. Here's another one on the EXACT same subject of displaying art, I hate it when people look at my art, or for that matter, anyone's art, and ask, "What is that?" That's just downright disrespectful and dumb. Why is it disrespectful? Because you're questioning someone's art, which could in some occasions be offensive to them, and shouldn't you appreciate it for what you see in it? Why is it dumb? If I meant it to be some dumb videogame character, I think you'd see that character, not some abstract glossy visual!!This is an obvious clue that someone doesn't know what real art is. You might say this is something unnessesary to get mad about, but honestly, I've been asked "What's that?!" ATLEAST 15 times in one single day, should you really have to explain what you create?

...The truth...

Posted by Farplane Sep. 17, 2007 @ 1:36 AM EDT

I've been hiding it (pretty well in my opinion) that I'm only 13-years old as of this year. Maybe you don't care, or maybe it's a shock, but it's the truth, yes, I've been here since I was 11. Some people might say "OOOOO THATS A BBBBAAAAADD SIGHT, YOU SHOULD BE ON BETTER THINGS LIKE PLAYING CRAPPY GAMES ON DISNEY.COM", to those people, you should back-up what you say. My opinion...
1. We are all going to hear crap like this in school so drop it.
2. Without NG..... well.... I don't know where I would be right now. This website has SO GREATLY increased my artistic skills, I don't know where to start, I can make a simple 10 minute drawing, bring it to school and people will say it's awesome, I hate that, but here I can get real critisism to bring me up, not admire myself.

So there you have it :)
Maybe my flash is good for my age, maybe not, but I'm really glad I discovered NG and dA. Also, it's kind of sad how I'm more constructive and respectful than most older users on this site.

New Law in Argument

Posted by Farplane Aug. 24, 2007 @ 3:37 AM EDT

I'm not sure if it is still being debated over, but I remember seeing a law being proposed that stated, "Any people of higher age than 12 may not be around the child playground areas in community parks". That is complete bull crap. First of all, this was supposed to somehow "protect" the younger children from older people, because they get abducted too much... that's right! Immediatly blame it on the older people, I mean sure, it was their fault, but what if the child had a parent watching over them, would it still have happened? That's what ticks me off, the whole problem is that no guardians will watch over their children there because they think it is completely safe, they just say, "Alright, you can go little 4-year old Bobby, just be back by supper and don't talk to strangers, as long as you do that you've got a protective crime-stopping barrier around you."

So that's it, they think that since some parents don't have the common sense to watch over their children, restricting older people who probably still want to just sit at the playground, can't.

In other news, double the number that the person above you posted -
1.
(here's a picture of me and how I would feel if this law is passed)

Old NG users

Posted by Farplane Aug. 13, 2007 @ 1:54 AM EDT

Doesn't it seem weird that those old NG users that only have 28 posts and little relevance are now adults with jobs and a family (maybe)? It just feels so weird that one day us blabbering idiots on this site are going to be grown adults with better things to do that rate flashes and talk about which videogame character is better, then when that takes place there's going to be a new generation of blabbering idiots which are going to post this exact same thing apply those "old" users as being us. I think too hard...

Don't you miss...

Posted by Farplane Aug. 3, 2007 @ 11:14 PM EDT

Don't you miss the days when you could turn on a TV and see those classic 90's cartoons like Hey Arnold!, Rocket Power, and Rugrats? Or you could switch to Cartoon Network and see Tom and Jerry, Dex's Lab, and Cow and Chicken frequently? Well... I do, all the stuff nowadays is crap... Fairly Oddparents?! Codename Kids Next Door?! What the heck is this?! I'd probably STILL love cartoons if they kept the old stuff on, no matter what people said (OMG! YOU STILL WATCH CARTOONS?! YOU SHOULD BE WATCHING BETTER STUFF LIKE MTV DUDE...).
Dear Cartoon Broadcasting stations,
-Lay off the censors
-Back with the old.... no matter how low quality the color was, you don't need an aqua detailed hi-def TV to know when a cartoon sucks
