As the name says..... strange

Now I almost never review songs nowadays but this one I feel that I must....
We all know we get certain feelings when listening to songs but this one I just can't explain... it's like listening to it makes me think of what this world has and is becoming, so I want to stop it, yet there's something about it that makes me just keep listening to it. The main thing that started making me feel this way was getting the clockwork orange trophy in the factory level on Mindscape... something just triggered in my mind right then.
I know this all seems weird, I just can't explain what I feel when I listen to this, it's like a relieving despair... very strange.
But anyways, thanks for making this, it sounds great!

Thanks for reviewing it :D

Sometimes, I just have a lot of meaning I want to put into a song, and I'm glad you absorbed probably the whole lot of it. My songs are usually based on how I feel after watching a movie, or playing a game, or a powerful experience. In the case of Why Birds Sleep Well, the whole series was based on my trip to Canaan Valley. Strange Petals is based on how I felt after watching the movie Adaptation. If you watch the movie, you can probably see a big connection (including the title of the song!)

Amazing

I've been checking your songlist pretty frequently (since ParagonX9 went out of buisness basically, and DJ_Xbrav just has to many tracks for me to count / remember) and the wait was definitly worth it. Perfect mixture of two of the best Zelda songs made yet (in my opinion). So yeah, not much else to say except that this song would work perfectly for Balamb Garden. Good job!

Paragon is out of business!? :O

Anywho, I just thought I'd try something new, for old times sake. :D (Makes sense, huh?) And I also wanted to put my long waiting ocean/bird effects in, too. :)

I <3 Balamb Garden. One of the best places in FFVIII. :D

Thanks for the review!

It finally happened :(

It acually happened for the first time, a song of yours that I didn't like :P (not to sound like a suck-up)..
I don't know why, it just kinda had nothing to it, it was wonderfully composed and planned out, it just wasn't really.... exiting / touching (in my opinion those are the only to things that matter to me in music... next to it not being screamo)
Well, never the less, good job on the song... I know that sounds kind of weird though.
P.S. Did you get my P.M. on the new suggestion? No preasure if you did, I just wanted to know if I put in the right name :)

:D

Well, seeing as though this is one of the first songs I have written since January, and the fact that I wrote it completely in FLstudio instead of Finale (then FL :P), I do make musical blunders every now and then. ;)

Personally, this songs means a great deal to me. I've been through a lot of pain in the past...18 years of my life (especially the past 4 months), and I wrote it to bring myself out of a musical stalemate. :P

But hey, I respect your opinion, but all I ask is that you rate fairly based on the actual sound of the music. ;)

Anywho, yes, I did get your PM, and I'm looking into it. :) (I'm working on a few themes from Twilight Princess first. :D)

Awesome.... as always -_-

Great! You finally got 8! (I'm not sure if you had it before :( ), can't wait to hear Deling City!! (Incase you don't remember me it's Jareddeitch, new name).
Oh and uh, I'm sure where you are, but, If you have beaten this part can you help me?
I just talked to Cid and Edea (the real one, not the Sorceress), and I'm looking for some "White Ship", she says it should be on the south coast of Centra, but i can't find it!
Anyways, great job, again..... as always... (Ive got to think of something else to say).

SuperTonic64 responds:

lol! :D I've had 8 since I was little.

All you have to do is find the island that looks like a hand. :D I remember that like it was yesterday...*sigh* :D

Thanks for the review! ^_^

The best I've seen from you yet.

Sounds like a Chinese Fable song!! I wish my school band had this music to play :( (currently playing Lexington March if you've ever heard of it).
I could listen to this for hours, I'm serious. I MUST KNOW WHAT PROGRAM YOU USE.
Once again, very very very very very very anti-bad job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SuperTonic64 responds:

I use a notation program (like Finale, you can get a demo of it at www.finalemusic.com) and the demo of FLstudio with soundfonts I've found all over the internet. :D (I don't use VSTs. :P)

I've heard of Lexington March. :D Other good marches to play are Concord, the Blue and the Gray, and a few other ones. :) Right now, we are about to start concert band and we are going to play October and Variations on a Korean Folk Song. (Which is an insane piece to play, especially on clarinet. O_O)

Thanks for the very very very anit-bad review! ^_^

~Smartpoetic :)

Sounded like something Nobuo would make.

The drumbeat was simply awesome, and everything was on time, except for that french horn (like WinterWind said). The solution to that problem could be to make it so it's just a normal dynamic measure, it sounded like the notes were allegro (emphasized with air). The other solution could be to use a different instrument, I'm thing maybe a bass guitar or possibly even a tuba, even though that doesn't fit the music style. Once again, very good job, the best I've (from you) so far. Also, I've previously given you suggestions and I'd like to another ^^". This one is from Final Fantasy IX, it's the all classic, regular battle theme!

SuperTonic64 responds:

Thank you! ^_^

I'm not a percussionist, so I don't know much about drums. I had to do a lot of research to learn how to write the drum section for this song! :D

Thanks for your suggestions! I really do appreciate them, and I'll do my best to fix that horn part. :D ^_^

(Wow, Nobuo...he's like my music composition idol. I'll do my best to live up to your expectiations. :D)

Great job remixing it!

There's not much I can say about it, but, to Third Nut/ DJ_immune, this originaly (the one the audio page) WAS made by ParagonX9, it's a song called Defcon Zero, you just have to wait about 30 seconds, then the part afliXion remixed will be there.

afliXion responds:

Glad you liked it.
Is my mix really on the audio front page? I listened for a while but I didn't hear it..

Great job!

This sounded better than the origanal! No exadgerating (or however you spell it). The only thing I noticed is that at the beggining the baritones and trombones sounded either a little off timing, or off tone, either way great. This wasn't major, but turn up the melody a bit, your making the bass to noticable. A personal request I have is that you play Final Fantasy VIII, once you get to a place named Deiling City, remix the music they have their, also, that'd be cool if you remixed a song which is often played when your on a mission (In FF8), it starts off with a snare drum and bass, then adds flute, then adds bass guitar. Don't fufill them if you dont want to!

SuperTonic64 responds:

Thanks for your review! ^_^

Hey, I've been looking for new songs to remix, so I'll take any suggestions and see what I can do with them, okay? :)

This music is so awesome.

One of the main resons I play Soul Caliber; they have lot'sa' theis Arabian music. The kick was great had big impact but didn't take over the whole song with bass. If you ask me Paragonx9 + Housemasta + DjJan= one.

HouseMasta responds:

djDAN, not Jan. lol

anyway, thanks for the 10. this song is 100% original too. thanks again for your review!

(_( Crayola(( >

Very Very good! this would make the almost perfect credits song

Get a lil more jazzy and mix it up a little more..

Khuskan responds:

Well, perfect in a christmas flash anyway.
